Job description
Only internal employees of Conwy County Borough Council can apply for this vacancy.
Work base: Coed Pella
This is a fantastic opportunity to shape support and develop Conwy's Residential Care home offer for children in Conwy. Conwy has a 10 year plan to gradually open a number of small care homes for children and we need someone who understands the complexities of designing and setting up children's homes within the Registration and Inspection of Social Care Wales Act 2016.
The successful applicant will work alongside the project manager to develop specifications for care homes and project manage the registration process. This will involve recruiting staff and developing policies and procedures for each setting and working alongside the Responsible Individual and Children Looked After Service Manager getting each service through the registration process.
The post holder will need to understand how the impact of trauma affects children and how to provide a therapeutic calming environment to help them through recovery.
This role offers flexible working options for a work life balance. This can include adjusting your working day and hybrid working, ie a balance of office and home working.
