About the role: You will work on a shift basis in a small Children's Home in a rural community within North Powys. The home supports children/young people with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties due to their early life experience. You will create a safe, healthy, learning, fulfilled home where children have their voices heard and acted upon to achieve positive outcomes in their lives.
The home runs of two different shift patterns as follows:1 full 15 hour day and a sleep in with 2 days of. Or 2 full 15 hour days with sleep in and four days off, both patterns equate to meeting a minimum of 158 hours per month and hours that go above this can be submitted as overtime.

What you will do: - You will work on a day shift rota to provide continuous care as part of team to the children and young people living in the home.
- You will build positive relationships through nurture, teaching connection before correction with a patient and calm manner and promote healthy, safe routines by creating a warm, inclusive home.
- You will organise and promote activities for children and young people to learn new things and explore interests, hobbies, and life skills within the home and the local community.
- Work in partnership with families and carers of young people in achieving the aims and objectives of the young people's plans.
- You will follow agreed policies, procedures, and legislative standards in your work. Always striving to keep up to date with best practice.
