Your role would be responsible for undertaking contract monitoring/quality assurance visits to all commissioned providers (both within the county and at any placements commissioned outside of Ceredigion) and in-house provision, on a regular basis, to ensure that the services are being provided in line with R.I.S.C.A Regulations and in line with the Social Services and Well-Being Act 2014.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the provider is complying with their contractual arrangements and providing a service to the highest quality standard of care for both children and adults. Following each visit, you would be advising the providers of the areas of strengths that are evident in the service provision, and also advising the provider where there are areas of concern/risk which needs addressing and you will be making recommendations about how the service could improve and you will working alongside providers in supporting them to improve their service.
An essential part of your role, would be to ensure that the voices of children, adults and their families who are using the services that you are monitoring, are heard throughout the monitoring process and that their views help strengthen the quality of the services that they are receiving.

Porth Cynnal provides intensive and specialist through-age assessment, care planning and review for those in need of longer term or complex care and support including quality assurance checks court and statutory interventions.
The service consists of the following teams:
