Job description
Work base: Colwyn Bay
An opportunity has arisen for a full time Occupational Therapist within the Older People and Hospital Social Work Team.
The successful candidate will provide high quality occupational therapy interventions in collaboration with Older People who may be in need of care and support and people who have been in hospital alongside their families and carers.
The successful applicant will work within a Community Resource Team setting with a strong focus on outcome based planning and re-ablement.
Applicants should have a professional Occupational Therapy qualification e.g. Post Dip Occupational Therapy or a Degree in Occupational Therapy and must be registered with the HCPC. Ideally applicants will have post qualifying experience in working with Older People, families and carers.
Support will be available through regular formal supervision and day to day informal supervision, Personal Development Reviews and excellent training opportunities.
It is essential that the post holder has the ability to travel throughout the County on a regular basis, often to and from remote locations at short notice.
Due to the nature of the work, it will be necessary to obtain a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
This role offers flexible working options for a work life balance. This can include adjusting your working day and hybrid working, ie a balance of office and home working.
