We are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic, friendly, and motivated individual to join our Catering Team. As Cook, you will play an important role in the daily operation of the Civic Café. Your responsibilities will include ordering food supplies, preparing meals, serving appetising food and drinks to staff, officers, and councillors, maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the kitchen, maintaining correct bookwork, operating the till, and demonstrating a sound understanding of Food Safety Regulations.
The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, some management experience, and the ability to show initiative. You must be an excellent team player with high standards of hygiene, along with the confidence and capability to work effectively in a busy and fast‑paced environment.
You will need to:
- Observe and comply with Hygiene and Health and Safety procedures.
- Undertake any training considered necessary for the post at any location considered suitable by the Catering Manager.
- Always ensure the safe and correct use of all kitchen equipment.
You will be required to keep full and accurate entries and records in all books\/forms in accordance with administrative procedures laid down by the Catering Department.
