Uniforms, bags, personal protective equipment (PPE), and mobile phones are provided to all of our home carers to access their rosters and information about what's happening in the service and the wider county council, including staff discount schemes.
Being a home carer, your duties will include providing personal care (e.g. helping people to bath, wash, dress, use the toilet), meal preparation, giving medication and helping service users with rehabilitation to help them regain their independence.
You will have extensive training and support to gain the skills and confidence needed to be a great carer. Its hard work but rewarding and you will be part of a big organisation with opportunities to progress. This is an opportunity for you to make a real difference, where your support will enable people with care needs (mainly but not exclusively elderly) to live in their own home when it has become too difficult for them to manage alone.
