Role: FEMALE Support Worker

Location: Colwyn Bay, Conwy

Hours:  Full time 37 hours per week. Your shift pattern will include weekends and sleep-ins.

Salary: £12.74 per hour and our sleep-in shifts at £60 per night and our travel expenses is paid 45p per mile

Contract: Permanent

What you’ll be doing:

In this role, you’ll actively support individuals (both male and female) with some challenging behaviour, limited verbal communication and have learning disabilities in making their own choices and set their own goals — whether it’s everyday decisions like what to wear, eat, or do, or something bigger such as where to live, how to manage their finances, or where to go on holiday. Individuals at this service enjoy activities, meals out, attending appointments and day services, they lead a very active lifestyle which you'll be supporting them with.

As a trusted Support Worker, you'll empower people to follow through on these choices, including taking part in structured activities that build confidence and develop new skills. You’ll also offer practical support to help them meet responsibilities like paying bills, maintaining their homes, being good neighbours, and staying connected with friends and family.

Your goal is to make everyday remarkable through enhancing well-being and focusing on the small, meaningful moments that bring joy and purpose. By offering this kind of person-centred support every day, this truly is a fun and rewarding role for the right person.

Who we are looking for:

No experience required as full training is provided. We’d love to hear from you if you:

are female
have patience and empathy
can support a person with their intimate personal care with respect and dignity
have strong communication and teamwork skills
are able to speak on behalf of others as well as to a range of professional people
have good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning
have a full driving licence - essential for transporting individuals to appointments and activities
have access to your own car and happy to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities as well as obtaining business insurance for your vehicle for which we pay 45p per mile to cover this
are a Welsh speaker (preferred, not essential).
