Work base: Coed Pella
An exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker with experience of working with children and families to join an innovative team at a time of modernising fostering.
We are seeking an individual with energy and enthusiasm in order to complement the existing supportive and experienced team.
You will be offered professional supervision and guidance, together with the offer of further training and development opportunities.
Key responsibilities of the post will be to assess family and friends as potential foster carers or special guardians.
The successful candidate will play a key role in making a real difference to the lives of Children Looked After through assessing those connected to the child. Having an understanding of the unique and complex nature of the arrangements and working effectively by contributing to service developments and innovations is an essential requirement.
It is essential that the post holder has the ability to travel throughout the County on a regular basis, often to and from remote locations at short notice. The post holder will also assess those living out of the County.
As the team works in a bilingual area, the ability to communicate in both Welsh and English is essential for the above post.
