Community Development Manager (Fixed Term) - Internal Only

Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking an experienced and inspirational leader to provide strategic and operational leadership to the Community Development Team within the Prevention and Wellbeing Service.

This is a key leadership role, responsible for developing and delivering strategies, action plans and community-based interventions that tackle inequalities and improve outcomes for our residents.

The postholder will play a pivotal role in driving forward the Council's Prevention and Wellbeing agenda, with a strong emphasis on enabling healthier, more active and resilient communities across Bridgend.

You will lead collaborative working locally, regionally and nationally, and oversee the operational management of:

Child & Families Community Support services

Adults & Young Carers Wellbeing Service

Age Friendly Communities programme

Play Sufficiency Duty

As a member of the Prevention and Wellbeing Service Management Team, you will contribute to service-wide performance, transformation and partnership delivery aligned to corporate priorities.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.

The council's Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. This provides a framework for establishing how you will undertake working hours between your home and the office.
