Are you highly organised individual and ready to make a real impact in children's services? We're looking for a proactive Administrative & Finance Officer to join our Children's Commissioning and Placements Team.
This vital role supports the smooth running of our placement processes, maintains critical data systems, and ensures financial operations (including invoicing and budget tracking) run efficiently and accurately. You'll be central to the day-to-day support that allows the team to deliver high-quality placements for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Commissioning and Placements Team
Organise and coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas and minutes
Manage the duty inbox and act as the first point of contact for placement queries
Maintain accurate records on internal systems (including WCCIS and placement trackers)
Support contract review processes and follow-up actions
Process invoices and maintain up-to-date financial tracking spreadsheets
Monitor placement budgets and provide financial updates to budget holders
Support data collection and reporting requirements, including FOI requests and statutory returns
Help improve internal processes to ensure continued service quality
What We're Looking For
Strong administrative experience
Proven ability to manage financial processes (e.g. invoicing, budget monitoring)
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Confident in managing multiple priorities in a busy team environment
Strong IT skills and experience using data systems (e.g. Excel, case management tools)
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
