This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.
We pay an attractive salary of £14,299 - £15,511 and offer access to training and development opportunities.The Intensive Support Team works alongside families, in line with what matters to them, to support them with achieving their desired outcome and keep children cared for within their families, where safe to do so. We are a multi-disciplinary team which includes Senior practitioners, Child Psychologist, Health Visitor and an Education officer.
We are looking to recruit an experienced support worker to work alongside families in crisis to build resilience to enable children and young people to remain and thrive within their family and prevent the child from becoming looked after. You will work directly with children, young people and their families to build upon their strengths and enable them to find solutions to their problems so that families remain together.
You will support families to develop appropriate coping strategies and provide bespoke packages of support to enable families and carers to achieve their goals in line with what matters to them. Applicants must have significant experience of working with children, young people and their families. Applicants would be expected to be flexible, have a positive attitude and the ability to motivate people to make positive changes in their lives.
For the role, we ask that you have: - A Level 2 Care or equivalent qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (CQFW).
- The ability to work in partnership with agencies and families in assessing/planning for child and young people in need of care and support.
- Experience of working with children, young people and their families.
- Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings.
