Principal Responsibilities - Provide person-centred care and support to residents, respecting privacy, dignity, and rights.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, nutrition, medication administration, and mobility support.
- Promote independence and positive well-being for individuals with dementia and complex needs.
- Maintain accurate records of care delivered and contribute to assessments and reports.
- Escort residents to appointments and activities, always ensuring safety and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with health professionals and family members to deliver holistic care.
- Adhere to Council policies, safeguarding principles, and data protection requirements.
- Participate in mandatory training, supervision, and continuous professional development.
Essential Requirements - NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Care or willingness to undertake qualification.
- Registration (or willingness to register) with Social Care Wales.
- Understanding of core care values: privacy, dignity, rights, and choice.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Flexible approach to duties and ability to work in challenging situations.
Desirable - Experience in a social or health care setting.
- Knowledge of CIW Standards and Regulations.
- Manual Handling Passport.
Additional Information - Enhanced DBS required.
- Access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.
- Welsh language skills Level 0 required (training available).
