Pay: £55,000-£60,000 (depending on experience)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Care Home Manager to lead The Mountains Nursing Home. This is a key leadership role with full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, and person-centred nursing care.
Job Purpose
As Care Home Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the home. You will lead a skilled multidisciplinary team, promote best practice in care delivery, and ensure full compliance with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Care Leadership
Use your nursing and care expertise to maintain exceptional standards of care
Ensure residents receive high-quality, tailored, person-centred support
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure the home operates fully in line with CIW regulations and best practice in elderly and nursing care
Maintain strong governance, audits, and compliance processes
Team Development & Leadership
Inspire, mentor, and empower your team
Foster a culture of professionalism, respect, accountability, and collaboration
Operational & Financial Management
Oversee staffing, rotas, budgets, and resource allocation
Ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the home, including maintenance and health & safety
Resident & Family Engagement
Build strong, trusting relationships with residents and their families
Promote open communication and a resident-centred approach to care
Collaboration & Community Involvement
Work closely with healthcare professionals, commissioners, and external stakeholders
Promote the home’s reputation and services within the local community
Qualifications & Experience
✔ QCF Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards) and/or ✔ Qualified Nurse (RGN/RMN) with active NMC registration
✔ Previous experience as a Care Home Manager within a residential or nursing setting ✔ Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a high-performing team ✔ Excellent knowledge of CIW regulations, care planning, and best practice ✔ Compassionate, resident-focused approach ✔ Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
