Are you passionate about upholding the rights of individuals with disabilities? We are seeking a dedicated Best Interests Assessor (BIA) to lead on Community Deprivation of Liberty (DoL) assessments within our Disability Service.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough Community DoL assessments, evaluating daily routines, preferences, and the impact of restrictions. Ensure care arrangements uphold human rights and promote autonomy. Collaborate with Conwy's legal team to prepare applications to the Court of Protection. Work closely with health and social care professionals to deliver person-centred, least restrictive support. Provide expert guidance to Social Workers on the Mental Capacity Act and DoL. Join us in making a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities in our community.
This role offers flexible working options for a work life balance. This can include adjusting your working day and hybrid working, ie a balance of office and home working.
