Come and join our team Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking a passionate and dynamic Social Work Assistant Team Manager to support older adults; adults with physical disabilities; adults with Dementia and the families / carers of these individuals.
We have a vacancy for a Social Work Assistant Team Manager in our Hospital Team - supporting Glangwili hospital, Prince Phillip hospital, Amman Valley hospital, Llandovery hospital. This is a well-established social work team supporting the residents of Carmarthenshire. You will be a part of a supportive team, committed to delivering high quality Social Work services and a wider service working together to best support adults and their discharge planning arrangements.
To be successful, you will have an appetite for promoting best practice, know what good practice looks like and be experienced at overseeing delivery of excellent outcomes and high-quality interventions for the citizen group and their families at the front door. Candidates should work well in a demanding work environment and be able to manage competing demands whilst working in partnership with citizens, their carer's, and other professionals. You will manage social workers, carry a complex caseload and practice in a person centred and outcome focussed way. Undertaking supervisions, appraisals, managing leave/sickness and other associated management tasks. Attending management meetings and deputising for the team manager where required.
You will have a social work qualification, be conversant with the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014 as well as knowledge and experience pertaining to relevant social work legislation and statutory obligations, role and responsibilities.
