This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading authority in Wales recognised for good practice and innovative services.
We are seeking an individual who has the ability to lead the Safeguarding Adult agenda within Conwy and manage a wide range activities including chairing and training responsibilities, providing an independent scrutiny of adult at risk who have a care and support protection plan.
The position sits within the Safeguarding Unit; which supports, develops and quality assures both adult and children's safeguarding practice.
The post holder will provide consultancy to a range of stakeholders, promote and raise practice standards in relation to Adult Safeguarding, and will be responsible for chairing Adult Safeguarding Case Conferences. The post holder will represented the Local Authority at Regional and National forums.
It is essential that you possess comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework and polices in relation to safeguarding adults. In addition, you must be able to provide evidence of your excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to make an impact on the lives of individuals to promote positive outcomes and influence the professional networks that you work within.
A good understanding of performance management and key indicators for statutory accountability and processes is essential in order to evidence good practice.
We are looking for an individual with demonstrable skills to lead, motivate and to achieve positive outcomes for adult at risk in Conwy.
Due to the nature of the work, it will be necessary to obtain a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
This role offers flexible working options for a work life balance. This can include adjusting your working day and hybrid working, ie a balance of office and home working.
