Due to increased demand on our services, we have exciting opportunities for you to make a real difference to the lives of people we support within Wrexham. 

We are now recruiting to Support Worker roles across Long Term Homecare, Extra Care and Reablement. All service areas support individuals to remain in their own homes by providing support to adults that require assistance with activities of daily living such as personal care, medication, physical and emotional wellbeing, maintaining nutrition or meal preparation.

Within this role you will be supporting people with a variety of needs, including physical disabilities and dementia, to remain as independent as possible, whilst supporting them to ensure that their voice is heard, and their choices inform the support they receive.  

We are looking for dynamic, self-motivated candidates who have compassion, empathy and respect. The ideal candidate will appreciate the differences in others and strive to deliver a person-centred service. They will work well as part of a team and on their own initiative; and be able to follow personal plans and break down barriers to ensure outcomes are achieved. They will be flexible in their approach and committed to making a positive difference.

A successful candidate must have the ability to travel across borough of Wrexham and will work as a part of the team within the Wrexham community or on site in the Extra Care Schemes. You will receive support from a designated team leader who will provide supervisions and training opportunities to support you in your role i.e. manual handling and training in medication.

We are offering a range of contracted hours and the opportunity for weekend only work to support your work-life balance. The service operates 7 days a week; employees often work 6 hour blocks, mornings, evenings and weekends i.e. 7am to 1pm, 8am to 2pm and 4pm to 10pm.We also have some roles working nights i.e. 9pm-7:30am. These hours are subject to change depending on the service needs.
