Social Work Assistant – Fostering, Kinship and SGO Team
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Social Work Assistant to join our Fostering, Kinship and Special Guardianship team.
This is a varied role where you will work alongside social workers to support foster carers, kinship carers, special guardians and the children and young people they care for. You will be involved in practical and direct work with families, supporting assessments, completing checks and information gathering, helping with training and events, and contributing to the day-to-day work of the team.
You will also play an important part in the recruitment and retention of foster carers, helping us promote fostering, support enquiries and applicants, and develop ways of keeping our existing carers connected, informed and supported.
We are looking for someone who is approachable, confident communicating with people, able to organise their own workload and keen to make a positive difference for children and families.
If you enjoy working with people, being part of a busy team and having a role where no two days are quite the same, we would love to hear from you.
Joining this team would provide many opportunities to bring new ideas, develop professionally, and contribute directly to promote a culture of continuous improvement, reflection and learning.
