Are you a passionate and committed Social Worker looking to make a lasting difference to the lives of children and young people?
Join our Fostering Team and play a vital role in recruiting, assessing, training and supporting foster carers who provide safe, stable and nurturing homes for children living away from home. You will work closely with carers, children, families and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes, while contributing to the ongoing development of our fostering service and recruitment initiatives. The role includes completing fostering assessments, supporting carers through supervision and reviews, and helping to strengthen foster carer retention across the borough.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A Diploma/Degree in Social Work or predecessor.
- Up to date knowledge of current legislation Research and Practice issues in childcare.
- Excellent communication skills with children, young people, their families/carers and professionals.
- Experience of working with children and young people their families and carers.
- Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings.
