We are recruiting a Social Worker at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Team: Youth Offending Service
This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.
We pay an attractive salary of £39,152 - £41,771 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
The successful will be based within one of our Court & Community Teams, working on Statutory Court Orders and Out of Court Disposal cases. The main focus of the work will be to manage and provide services to children aged between 10-17 years of age who are involved in offending or Anti Social Behaviour (ASB). You will also work to prevent further offending or ASB incidents.
The successful candidate will be require to work in partnership with the local statutory and voluntary sector services.
You will need to demonstrate a proven ability to engage children and make a positive impact with the work you will be delivering as part of our multi agency Youth Offending Service. In achieving these aims, you will work closely with families and/or carers to address the factors leading to offending.
You will be required to contribute to accurate and timely electronic records in accordance with the Youth Justice Board’s National Standards. Therefore, IT skills are essential for this role, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

For the role, we ask that you have:
- Diploma/Degree in Social Work or predecessor
- Up to date knowledge of current legislation Research and Practice issues in childcare.
- Excellent communication skills with children, young people, their families/carers and professionals.
- Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes
