Senior Social Work Practitioner

Job description

Supported Care Planning (SCP) social workers work with children age 0-16 and their families who are in need of care and support, on the child protection register, looked after, or being assessed within the PLO or court arena.  We are committed to supporting families to remain together; the Signs of Safety methodology is our established and embedded methodology, and our practice is trauma informed. 

 

An innovative service, we are proud to gave been awarded the 2024 Social Care Wales ‘Building Bright Futures for Children and Families’ accolade in SCP, and our ‘Born into Care’ work has been recognised as sector leading. 

 

We have excellent support for our social workers, including reflective group supervision sessions, regular workshops and development sessions. 

 

SCP also has a progression pathway, enabling suitably experienced and skilled senior social work practitioners to evidence their expertise over time to progress to senior social worker into specialist social worker posts without interview.

The salary for the position is Grade 10A £44711 - £46731 per annum.
