What does a rewarding career in Adult Social Care look like?
We’ve teamed up with Employability Bridgend once again to offer a free two-week programme designed to help you explore a career in Adult Social Care.
If you’re a compassionate, thoughtful and interested in a rewarding career helping people in your community, Pathways to Care could be for you
Over two weeks, you’ll receive free, accredited training that you can take with you into a future role. You’ll also hear directly from people working in and receiving support from BCBC Adult Care Services, take part in informative workshops and gain a real insight into what a career in care could look like.
The programme is designed for people with little or no professional experience in Social Care, as well as those considering a career change. You may already have experience caring for a family member or simply be interested in making a difference to your community.
This is a unique opportunity to gain an understanding of the various roles available in Adult Social Care.
What does the programme involve?
FREE accredited Dementia Training, including an innovative VR experience
FREE accredited Emergency First Aid Training
FREE accredited Medication Skills Training
FREE accredited Introduction to Care Training
FREE accredited Safeguarding Training
Interview experience with service managers and support with applications
Opportunities to meet and chat with people already working Adult Social Care
Wellbeing support and advice
Opportunities to meet some of the amazing people supported by our services
When does it take place?
Our next Pathways to Care programme runs from Monday the 5 October to Friday 16 October 2026, from 9.30am to 3pm.
You’ll need to be available for the duration of the programme.
