Occupational Therapy Assistant 

Swansea Community Integrated Services – Therapies Team

Temporary position until March 2027

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Occupational Therapy Assistant looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same?

About the Role

Our team delivers same-day response and reablement services, helping people return home safely from hospital, avoid unnecessary admissions, and maintain independence within their own communities.

As part of our experienced multidisciplinary team, you'll work alongside:

  • Occupational Therapists

  • Physiotherapists

  • Speech and Language Therapists

  • Dietitians

  • Medicines Management Teams

  • Reablement home care

  • Social Workers

  • Nursing Colleagues

You will undertake holistic functional assessments and interventions, including:

  • Reablement programmes

  • Equipment recommendations

  • Adaptation assessments

  • Supporting individuals to achieve the right level of care and independence

You'll also contribute to service development, maintain high-quality documentation, and work in line with professional governance standards.
