An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, committed, and flexible individual to join our team as a Night Duty Officer within the integrated reablement service at Ty Pili Pala, based in Llys Y Bryn Residential Home. This unique service operates in partnership with Hywel Dda Health Board, supporting individuals across Carmarthenshire to regain independence and achieve their personal goals through a reablement approach. About the Role As a Night Duty Officer, you will play a key leadership role within the established night team, ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents. You will coordinate care and interventions to support independence, working closely with residents, their families, and the wider Intermediate Care Multi-Disciplinary Team. You will promote value-based care, supporting individuals to maximise their independence and enhance their quality of life. Key Responsibilities Your duties will include (but are not limited to): - Supervising, supporting, and monitoring night care staff
- Promoting high standards of care in line with a reablement ethos
- Recording and reporting information using IT systems
- Rostering and supporting staff deployment
- Providing personal care where required
- Supporting safe moving and handling, including use of equipment
- Administering and supporting medication in line with Council policy
- Taking direction from visiting healthcare professionals (e.g. Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, GPs, District Nurses)
- Monitoring and guiding staff in safe working practices, including manual handling

- Can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications & Requirements - QCF Level 3 (required for registration and to deputise for the manager)
- Willingness to work towards QCF Level 5 after appointment
- Welsh language skills at Level 2 (conversational) – support can be provided
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required
