We are looking for a Night Duty Officer to join our dedicated team within a residential care setting. This is a rewarding and meaningful role for someone who is motivated, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality care and support overnight.

What you’ll do:

As a key member of our established night team, you will take a lead role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of our residents. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Promoting value-based care that supports independence and enhances quality of life
  • Supervising and supporting night staff to maintain high standards of care
  • Monitoring and guiding staff in manual handling and other safe working practices
  • Assisting with medication administration and ensuring compliance with care policies
  • Leading on care documentation, ensuring records are current and reflect best practice
  • Working collaboratively with the manager to develop strong partnerships with families, professionals, and the wider community
  • Ensuring Health and Safety standards are met at all times
  • Taking responsibility for your own learning, supervision, and development

What we’re looking for:

  • A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for care
  • Experience working in a care setting – ideally in a supervisory capacity
  • Sound understanding of care standards and legislation
  • The ability to lead with professionalism, empathy, and confidence
  • A flexible and reliable approach to night-time working

• NVQ Level 3 Care (or registered working towards)
• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) QCF
