About us

The Vale of Glamorgan is inviting applications for an exciting role within its Flying Start Programme. Flying Start is a Welsh Government-funded early intervention and prevention programme, available in targeted areas to support families and give children aged 0–3 the best possible start in life.

The programme provides intensive support services for children and their families through the delivery of:

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Social Worker to join our Flying Start Parent Support Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to families by delivering evidence-based techniques and strategies that promote positive outcomes.

What you will do:

  • Work directly with parents through one-to-one sessions, group activities, and community engagement
  • Support families to overcome challenges and access the help they need
  • Contribute to a collaborative, multi-agency approach to early intervention

If you are passionate about improving the lives of children and families and want to be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you

Ambitious - Forward thinking, embracing new ways of working and investing in our future.
Open - Open to different ideas and being accountable for the decisions we take.
