Duty Officer - Occupational Therapy Team

Who We Are

Wrexham Council's Occupational Therapy Team supports citizens with a wide range of needs, from elderly reablement to young people with disabilities. We work in partnership with health, housing, and social care services to promote independence and improve quality of life.

The Role

We are seeking a Duty Officer to act as the first point of contact for citizens and carers referred to the Occupational Therapy Team. You will:
• Provide clear, timely information and advice at initial contact and during follow-up enquiries.
• Work alongside experienced Occupational Therapists and the Assistant Team Manager to prioritise citizens on the OT waiting list.
• Respond to queries, monitor changes in circumstances, and escalate cases requiring urgent attention.
• Use IT systems and databases to gather and record accurate information.

This is a key role in ensuring citizens receive the right support at the right time.
