We are currently looking to recruit a Community Support Worker to work in the Links Community Resource Base which provides a day service for adults with learning disabilities who have Autism and Behaviours that can Challenge.
The main purpose of the role is to support the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of Individuals using a person centered approach to promote choice and independence whilst making peoples' days enjoyable and meaningful.
This role requires the successful applicant to be able and confident to undertake Positive Behaviour Management training that requires physical interventions.
The service is working towards providing weekend and early evening support and you will be required to work on a rota basis as and when required.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Care, or the commitment and ability to attain the qualification within 1 year of appointment
- An understanding of the cause and effects of behaviour that can challenge the service.
- The ability to assist with personal care and hygiene while respecting an individual’s privacy and dignity.
- A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business/work
