Community Activator (Fixed Term) - Internal Only

To support the development of a Sports Development and Community Physical Activity function within the Prevention and Wellbeing Service. The role will increase grassroots participation in sport and physical activity across Bridgend County Borough, particularly among underrepresented groups and communities experiencing disadvantage.

The post will provide operational delivery, coordination and partnership development to strengthen local sporting opportunities, support sustainable community sport infrastructure, and contribute to improved health and wellbeing outcomes across the population.

Working in partnership with National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGBs), Sport Wales, Central South Active Partnership (C-PAN), schools, leisure providers and community organisations, the role will help develop clear sport participation pathways aligned with national frameworks and local priorities, with a particular focus on the development of Bridgend focus sports pathways.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.

An Enhanced Children and Adults Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
