We pay an attractive salary of £14,771 - £15,511 (18.5 hours) / £29,540 - £31,022 (37 hours) and offer access to training and development opportunities.
Caerphilly County Borough Council's Children Services are looking for full-time Child Care Support Workers, who have the right values, motivation, and commitment to work in a challenging, yet rewarding environment.
If you are effective at building positive working relationships, have good communication skills, both written and verbal as well as IT skills and have a genuine passion and commitment to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families, we want to hear from you. The successful applicants would also have good time management and organisational skills.

The Child Care Support Worker role involves working with children and their parents / carers to meet their outcomes, balancing outcomes with risk and safeguarding children in line with the Social Services and Wellbeing Act 2014. The role also entails supporting Social Workers in their work, undertaking direct work with children and young people to help them understand their life journey, undertaking assessments and supervising family time between children looked after and their birth parents.

Caerphilly Children Services have strong links to the Gwent Attachment Service and Caerphilly has invested in MyST therapeutic service, which provide intensive support to our Children who are Looked After.

For the role, we ask that you have:
- Level 2 Care or equivalent qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (CQFW).
- Understand and respect confidentiality and the importance of managing personal and sensitive information in a professional manner.
- Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings.
