We are recruiting a Carers Support Workerat Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 hours per week
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
Team: Physical Disability and Sensory Impairment
This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.
We pay an attractive salary of £29,540 - £31,022 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
As a Carers Support Worker you will provide information, advice and assistance to unpaid carers, helping them to sustain their caring role and maintain wellbeing.
The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting carers and improving their outcomes, managing a caseload, undertaking proportionate assessments, and delivering early intervention to prevent escalation to statutory services.
Working in the community, you will build strong relationships with carers, families and partner agencies, promote awareness and identification of carers, and develop local support networks. The role focuses on reducing isolation, promoting independence, and enabling carers to continue in their role safely and effectively.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A Relevant Level 3 qualification
- Understanding of the principles and practise of relevant legislation.
- Experience of working with families within a social care setting.
- A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes
