The 15+ team within TYPSS is recruiting!
We are looking for a full time Assistant Team Manager.
We are looking for someone with an interest in managing incoming referrals via our duty system. The focus of the duty element of the service is to support young people and families to remain together where it is safe to do so.
We are seeking someone with proven experience at managing complex cases and who is seeking to develop or build upon staff supervisory skills.
About the Team
We support Young People between the ages of 15-25 with a range of complex support needs.
The team works with:
- Children Looked After.
- Young People subject to child protection plans.
- Young People at the edge of care.
- The primary focus of the team is to offer Young People consistent support to prepare them for independence.
- The team has a strong focus on ensuring we are fulfilling our duties to Young People as their corporate parents and broadening their horizons.
You will be:
- Working in a fast-paced environment to make decisions that may be time sensitive.
- Processing child protection referrals and making decisions linked to child protection. Chairing strategy discussions, core groups and Care and Support meetings.
- Focusing on supporting staff to ensure Young People are supported to remain at home where it is safe to do so.
- Offering Young People, staff and family members creative solutions with a focus on strengths and building resilience.
- Offered opportunities to develop strategic specialities in practice – e.g. CSE/CCE.
Team Structure:
- 1 Team Manager
- 2 Assistant Team Managers (x1 FT, x1 PT)
- 5 Social Workers
- 5 YPAs
- 2 CSWs
- 1 Drop In CoOrdinator
