Post No. SSAC0217.1 - Adult Mental Health Social Worker
Newport Social Work Services in collaboration with Aneurin Bevan University Health Board are seeking to recruit a full time qualified Social Worker to work within the Integrated Community Mental Health Team based at Gold Tops, on a fixed term basis.
Working primarily with people under the age of 65 years, you will work with colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary team where the role of Social Worker is highly valued. We are particularly interested in Social Workers who have experience of supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental health problems, as well as those individuals with co-occurring substance misuse needs.
There are opportunities for ongoing professional development through regular supervision and specialist mental health training.
Ideally you will be an experienced Approved Mental Health Professional though this is not essential, and you must be a registered Social Worker.
This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
