International workers
We want to help you connect with international care workers who already hold a Health and Social Care visa and are currently in the UK, by promoting your sponsorship vacancies on our jobs page.
The Welsh Government defines sponsored care workers as international recruits who come to Wales to work in social care roles under visa sponsorship, often through the Health and Care Worker visa route.
To ensure you're working with the latest guidance on employing international workers, please visit the National Advisory Service website here and Social Care Wales' resources page here.
These resources are regularly updated and include important information on:
- visa conditions and rights at work (Welsh Government)
- equality and human rights protections (Welsh Government)
- community integration and language support (Welsh Government)
- avoiding exploitation and understanding employment protection (Welsh Government)
- recruitment (Social Care Wales)
- new staff induction (Social Care Wales)
- well-being (Social Care Wales)
- regulation (Social Care Wales).
If you have vacancies suitable for international workers, you can now feature them under our sponsorship filter - making it easier for candidates to find and apply for these roles.
If you need step by step support on how to upload vacancies, follow our how to guides here.
Tip: Be sure to clearly outline sponsorship details and visa conditions in your job advert to help applicants understand eligibility and expectations.
