New virtual reality resource for young people considering a career in care

Virtual Careers is an innovative virtual reality (VR) resource designed to inspire and support young people considering a career in social care or childcare, play and early years.

Sponsored by WeCare Wales, the resource was developed by the West Wales Regional Partnership Board, Powys County Council and Virtus Tech.

Students across Powys and West Wales can choose from a variety of virtual, interactive scenarios that show what it’s like to work in different care settings. They can learn about the different roles in care and the skills and values needed to excel in a career in care.

This virtual work experience tool helps young people imagine themselves in meaningful careers they may not have previously considered.
