Temporary Activity Coordinator

About Us:
Towy Castle is a well-established care home with over 35 years of providing compassionate care to our residents. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, family-like environment where residents feel at home—and our long-standing staff are a big part of that. We’re currently looking for a Temporary Activities Coordinator to bring even more joy and engagement to our community.

What You’ll Do:
✓ Plan and lead a varied programme of activities tailored to our residents’ interests and abilities
✓ Encourage both group and one-on-one participation to create a sense of belonging
✓ Organise themed events, seasonal celebrations, and community outings
✓ Build relationships with local groups and invite volunteers to join in the fun
✓ Work closely with residents, families, and the wider care team to create personalised, meaningful experiences
✓ Keep simple records of attendance, feedback, and progress to help us continuously improve

What We’re Looking For:
✔ A friendly, outgoing personality and a passion for making a difference
✔ Experience in a care home, community, or activity-focused role (especially with older adults or those living with dementia)
✔ Creative flair—whether that’s music, art, storytelling, or simply thinking outside the box
✔ A good understanding of person-centred care
✔ Confident communication and strong organisational skills
✔ Awareness of safeguarding, health & safety, and risk assessments (training available if needed)

Role Details:
→ Temporary Contract | Monday–Friday, 10am–5pm
→ Pay: £12.50 per hour
→ Location: Towy Castle Care Home
