Job description

The Statutory Assessment Team is a fast-paced team that provides initial intervention in response to referrals relating to children and young people up to the age of 14. As a support worker in Blaenau Gwent's Statutory Assessment Team, you will be expected to provide assistance to the social workers to undertake Section 47 assessments, complete consent-based integrated assessments and case manage until the point of transfer to a longer-term locality team, step down to preventative services or progress to closure where statutory intervention is not required.

You will be expected to assist and empower service users to develop their potential for independence and enable them to exercise choices wherever possible.
