About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and motivated Specialist Support Worker to join our friendly and well-established respite service.

As part of your role, you will provide personal care with dignity and respect, supporting individuals with daily living activities such as washing, dressing, and personal hygiene, always following person-centred care plans and individual preferences.

Working Pattern
This role operates on a planned base rota, but as we are a respite service, flexibility is key. Our staffing levels and shift patterns naturally change depending on the bookings and needs of the individuals we support.
For this reason, you’ll need to be adaptable and willing to work as part of a responsive team to ensure the highest standard of care is always delivered.
We are committed to supporting our staff with clear communication and forward planning. You will receive at least 4 weeks’ notice of any rota changes, giving you time to plan while allowing the service to meet changing demands.

You’ll ideally have:
- A passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities
- A kind, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong reliability and communication skills
- A willingness to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
- Previous care experience is helpful, but your attitude and values matter most
