An opportunity has arisen in Pembrokeshire County Council Commissioning Team and we are looking for someone who has a strong interest in social care. We passionately believe that people should be supported to exercise choice and control over their lives and live as independently as possible.
The team supports a range of social care providers to develop personalised support, which ensures that the person's voice is central to all decision making. Our service areas include, older people, working age people with Learning Disabilities, Children, Neurodiversity, Mental Health, Housing Related Services, Carers and Advocacy.
The successful candidate will; - Effectively support Commissioning and Contract Management Officers (CCMO) to establish and manage Adult and Community Services contracts to ensure value for money, quality and strategic relevance.
- Work with providers to develop and support the market in using creative thinking and problem solving techniques within the scope of guidance/requirements from Welsh Assembly, the Local Authority and the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.
- Support with the development and implementation of quality assurance systems, monitoring and review processes for all commissioned and contracted services to ensure that service standards are met and required outcomes are delivered.
You must have: - Experience of working with or within a social care or similar environment for example; the community and voluntary sector, housing services in a paid for or unpaid capacity.
- The ability to work with members of the community, service users and their families, service providers and voluntary organisations to promote an inclusive approach and to involve them in the development of services.
- Ability to analyse and interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
- Ability to travel around the County to undertake planned and responsive site visits.
