Job description

Breakfast and Afterschool club are looking for a new staff member to join our friendly team. A qualified and experienced candidate would be desirable (Level 2 or Level 3 in play work or childcare) but will consider applicants with at least 2 years’ experience of working in a childcare setting or have a general desire to work with children. All candidates must be 18 years or over.

Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene and Child Protection qualifications would be an advantage, but training can be done whilst in employment.

Applicants would need to work as part of a team, conducting themselves at all times in a professional, courteous, helpful, warm and consistent manner, care for children aged 3 to 11 years, be able to offer a range of age appropriate activities, to listen and respond to the needs of the children, supervise the children, prepare healthy breakfasts and snacks, to maintain the cleanliness of the setting, build relationships with the children and their parents and to provide a happy and nurturing environment for the children. Candidates will need to attend staff meetings and training sessions.

Breakfast club – 7.15am to 8.50am (Monday to Friday term time)
