What You'll Be Doing

As part of our supportive and collaborative team, you will:

• Work alongside Grants Officers and Occupational Therapists to facilitate adaptations that enhance safety, accessibility, and independence within people's homes.
• Provide specialist advice and guidance on a wide range of home adaptations.
• Support Occupational Therapists in developing recommendations and identifying innovative solutions to meet individuals' needs.
• Promote strengths-based practice, empowering people to achieve their goals and maximise their independence.
• Build effective partnerships with housing providers, contractors, health professionals, and community services.
• Contribute to service development, helping us continuously improve and deliver high-quality outcomes for residents.

About you

You will need:

• 2 years post qualification experience of building construction or relating area
• Knowledge and experience of relevant service area delivery to the public
• Ability to work directly with the public
• Good analytical and all-round communication skills
• Keep concise records
• Ability to work as part of a team and under instruction
• Ability to work on own initiative when required
• Good customer skills
• Minimum HNC or equivalent in building construction or other related discipline (exceptional candidates working towards the qualification will be considered).
• Positive and well-motivated
• Integrity and honesty
• Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends
• Sensitive to the needs of service users
• Ability to drive/travel throughout the Vale or between locations as appropriate
