Job description

To assist the Scheme Leader and Deputy in ensuring the safe and effective operation of the DASH Leisure Scheme and to be responsible for ensuring prompt, appropriate and respectful personal care for those attending

• To ensure that the personal care needs of the young people are attended to at all times.

• To share the responsibility for the constant supervision of the young people attending.

• To join in activities and work alongside staff and volunteers.

• To assist in the organisation and supervision of appropriate and enjoyable activities both within the venues and in the community.

• To assist in the co-ordination and support of volunteers.

• To communicate clearly, courteously and in a professional manner with all members of the team, parents/carers and other agencies.

• To assist in ensuring that the venue remains tidy and clean and that it is a safe and secure environment for the young people attending.

• To carry out other duties as required ensuring the smooth running of the scheme.
