Min y Mynydd Residential Home is looking for a Night Care Assistant to work 3 nights 1 week and 4 nights the other week on a rolling working pattern over any 7 days per week to provide personal care, emotional and practical support to older people living with a dementia within an environment that provides a homely atmosphere ensuring the rights, independence and wellbeing of people is supported and maintained.
Experience of working with older people would be beneficial although not essential. You must have knowledge of the principles that underpin quality care e.g. dignity and choice. You must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, possess a clear understanding of the sensitive and confidential nature of the post and be courteous and responsive to the needs of individuals.
It is essential that applicants are in receipt of / working towards Level 2 in Care (Previously known as NVQ 2) or a willingness to achieve the qualification within a specified timeframe.
For the role, we ask that you have: - Knowledge of principles that underpin quality care, e.g. dignity, choice, etc.
- Experience of working as part of a team.
- Ability to work flexibly including weekends, bank holidays and sleep in duties.
