Residential Child Care Manager


As a Residential Child Care Manager, you’ll set the operational direction and organise the effective running of the home.

You’ll provide a kind, caring and fun place to live, helping the children and young people thrive.

You’ll have a thorough knowledge of the care plan for the children and young people who live in the home and you’ll ensure that staff care for them in the best possible way.

You’ll provide leadership, guidance and support to staff. You’ll ensure that staff adhere to company policies, legislations and regulations, and you’ll ensure that care plans and care standards are met.

You’ll carry out supervision for Residential Child Care Deputy Managers and possibly for the Residential Child Care Workers and Senior Residential Child Care Workers. You’ll also attend meetings with educational settings, the Police, Social Workers and other agencies.

You’ll be responsible for completing paperwork and keeping up to date records for the residents and any regulatory documentation that’s necessary. You’ll also manage recruitment and disciplinary processes.
