Childminder


As a registered Childminder, you’ll provide childcare for children under the age of 12 for more than two hours a day, within your own home.

You’ll be self-employed and responsible for running your own business, this includes meeting legal requirements. You'll need to be motivated and expect to prepare paperwork.

You'll provide a safe, fun and stimulating environment and support children’s play, learning and development through activities and experiences.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • To enjoy working with children
  • A caring and patient nature
  • An adaptable and flexible approach
  • Good communication skills, including verbal and listening skills
  • Imagination and creativity
